A dedicated article about NUTRIOSE® soluble fibre in the brand new book entitled "Dietary fibre: new frontiers for food and health"
Dietary fibre has attracted a growing interest from science and industry in the past decade, attracting more and more researchers from academy and industry in valuable events such as Dietary Fibre, an international scientific conference taking place every 3 years.
The 4th and last edition took place in Vienna, 1-3 July 2009, organized by the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC). This edition was attended by more than 300 participants from 38 countries of all continents, including members of Roquette, presenting posters and giving a talk. In this context, a book based on selected papers of DF09 has been published very recently: Dr Catherine Lefranc-Millot, Scientific Communication Manager, and colleagues of the Nutrition Management at Roquette, have contributed to one chapter entitled "NUTRIOSE®, more than just a soluble fibre" This article reviews the data obtained by the researchers of Roquette on the resistant dextrin NUTRIOSE® and its nutritional benefits demonstrated through pre-clinical and clinical studies.
With 39 papers in almost 600 pages, this book represents a broad range of scientific disciplines, including chemistry, microbiology, food technology, nutritional sciences and medicine.
